Specializing in providing high-quality testing of samples derived from laboratory animals, the clinical testing laboratory currently offers testing services in hematology, blood biochemistry, immunology, flow cytometry and bone marrow cytomorphology, etc. The laboratory was first accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in 2014 and has been re-accredited many times since then. Besides, it is also an active participant in the annual External Quality Assessment program conducted by the National Center for Clinical Laboratories (NCCL), with a view to ensuring both the accuracy and reliability of the test data obtained. The laboratory is fully equipped with internationally cutting-edge testing equipment, uses manufacturer-supplied supporting reagents and quality controls (QCs) under traceability systems, and executes such activities as testing of basic functions and review of computerized systems, to ensure that the GLP requirements are properly followed throughout the testing process. By referring to the new regulations and technologies in the industry, the analytical procedures have been validated based on the unique characteristics of animal studies, and appropriate background ranges and morphology profiles have been established for various animal species to ensure industry-leading quality of the testing activities performed.
